Honoring Grief workshop:
IFS, Somatics & Sacred Grief
Grieving is a Sacred Rite of Passage
We shake with joy, we shake with grief.
What a time they have, these two
housed as they are in the same body.

~ Mary Oliver, Evidence
In countless cultures worldwide, grief, remembrance, and renewal
are considered sacred cycles to travel through continuously, guiding us gently back to ourselves.
During these potent times of the year,
where much energy is being extended outwards to support and sustain
our traditions, family, loved ones and communities,
it is valuable to
pause, reflect, metabolize and release.

As Grief material continues to whisper in our ears:
"I am ready to be worked on",
let us listen to that invitation and open a space where we may open and allow our hearts to feel,
so we are able to move forward and be in deeper presence with ourselves and our loved one.
Western cultures have been putting grief in the back room. Avoidance, misperceptions and anxiousness still overclouds the sacred healing path of honoring loss and bereavement. Grief is a natural part of life, of being human. It is the common thread that keeps us connected. It is a process that is both personal and universal.
Grief may also come in a form of grieving what we never had. Grieving the absence of something you needed or wanted and didn’t receive is a powerful step towards healing.

Honoring Grief is an online experiential three parts workshop designed to restore the conversation we need to have concerning the place of grief in our lives, to deepen our felt sense of grief, and to invite us to integrate and metabolize our losses in a communal safe space.

As we navigate the great mystery of loss, our process may serve as an invitation to love more deeply, to express more fully, to live in a more present and aware way. Grief is the northern star and the source of deep healing, joy, gratitude and celebration of life. A critical part of the transformation is learning how to grief. Learning we can grieve in the light. Knowing the power of doing our honored grieving work in community. Knowing grieving is not a taboo, it is a rite of passage.

As we welcome all of our grieving parts and utilize the wisdom of our living bodies, we will explore grief’s essential interwovenness with gratitude, love, compassion, and vitality.

This workshop is created for anyone who is asking to fully embrace life through navigating the terrains of grief, as well as for those of us supporting others in their honored process.

I welcome you to a space of sacredness, beauty and deep holding which offers the invitation to come more alive.

"MayRav’s gifts of connection and weaving a solid container were so beautiful to experience in the Honoring Grief workshops I attended. Her approach to this sacred work is reverent, deep, loving and refreshing. "
~ Erica Johnson, OR

"My therapist recommended this workshop to help me process grief around my health issues. It was quite an eye-opening experience. While health was the entry point, it quickly came to me that there is so much repressed grief that I have stemming all the way back to my childhood. The workshop inspired me to focus on this area of my healing journey. MayRav has such beautiful, gentle yet powerfully moving energy. Her manner of being exudes her genuine love for people. I tend to stay away from “support group” settings, but this workshop kept me engaged and I felt safe to be open & vulnerable. I enthusiastically recommend this workshop to anyone who is on a healing path."
~ Anne, CA

"In addition to creating community connections, MayRav holds a beautiful, safe, healing container for exploring grief in a profound way. I always look forward to experiencing that healing container with her and other participants."
~ Katie Breedlove, TX
